FAQs
What is Fitting?
Fitting is an iOS and Android (soon) app where users can get votes on their outfits in seconds by uploading them to Fitting.
Perhaps you’re in a dressing room and need to leave or are unsure about which outfit is appropriate for an upcoming event - whichever the case, Fitting allows you to upload for users to vote on. You even have the option to stay completely anonymous.
What is the difference between Single and Multiple Outfit posts?
A single-outfit post allows you to upload the front and back of 1 outfit that you need help deciding if you should wear it or consider restyling it.
A multiple-outfit post allows you to upload 2-4 options for users to help you choose between. You must upload at least 2 options for multiple-outfit posts. Users can vote on more than one of the outfit options.
How do points work?
To ensure users vote on others, we have set up a points system where users need at least 100 points to upload a photo.
Users can earn 25 points every time they vote or buy points in the store. Users lose 25 points every time they post.
Can we upload photos of things other than outfits?
Although we would love for Fitting to be a platform for all types of feedback, we are keeping the focus of the platform only on outfits for now.
How do I get a refund?
Generally, all charges for purchases are nonrefundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods. We may make an exception if a refund for a subscription offering if the laws applicable in your jurisdiction provide for refunds. Please see the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy, https://sites.google.com/view/choosyprivacy/eula, for more information on this under section 17.
For iOS, Apple typically issues refunds to the customer, which you can find here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084. If you have issues with this, please feel free to contact us at fittingteam@fittingapp.org.
How does Fitting ensure my privacy?
Fitting has several options to protect your privacy. We offer the ability to keep your profile set to private so only the followers you approve can see it, the ability to hide your username when you post, the option to upload photos from your albums so you can crop/edit out parts you don’t want to be seen, and Custom Groups to hide from certain users. Additionally, your data is kept secure and safe by our systems.
What are Custom Groups?
Think of Custom Groups as an audience that you hand-select. With Custom Groups, you have 3 options:
Everyone on the app - this will show the post to everyone who has downloaded the app
Only my followers - this will show the post to only users who follow you
Everyone except my followers - this will show the post to all users who have downloaded the app except the ones that follow you
Only followers I select - think of this as your VIP list for who can see your post. The selections you make for can change for each post. For example, if you add Sally to your list for an outfit you post today, she will see the post. If you don’t add Sally to the list for the outfit you post tomorrow, she will not see the post (ever) - not on your profile or your feed.
What is Fitting+?
Fitting+ (Fitting Plus) is a premium service in which users can subscribe for a monthly fee of 4.99 USD. With this service, users can see who has voted on their posts and won’t have to see banner ads. In upcoming versions, users will also be able to have their posts float to the top of everyone’s feed with this Premium service.
What do I do if I see something against Fitting’s guidelines?
We take bullying, harassment, or anything harmful to our users very seriously. We have a team as well as AI systems set up to monitor for harmful content. However, if you see hurtful comments or content that has not been taken down, please help our team by clicking the menu button (…) at the top-right of the post containing the harmful content > click Report. Alternatively, please send us an email at fittingteam@fittingapp.org.
What is Choosy, LLC?
Choosy, LLC is the parent company that owns Fitting, which has operated out of New York City since 2021. Anyone who works on our team at Fitting works under Choosy, LLC.
Who do I contact if there’s an issue with the app?
Please contact esvega@fittingapp.org if it is a technical glitch and fittingteam@fittingapp.org for all other issues.
Do posts expire? When does voting end?
Posts expire after 48 hours of being in the feed. Typically, most users will see their final results within the first few minutes of posting and, after this point, the results typically don’t adjust much but may fluctuate. This may change in future versions of the app.
